Some Context
• While interning at Roc Nation, I was eager to understand how the company functioned beyond my immediate responsibilities. I proactively supported other
departments, which led to my collaboration with the University Marketing team and the Roc Nation Distribution roster.
Strategy & Vision
• The University Marketing team frequently collaborates with
influencers and was exploring ways to build an effective street team.
• I noticed a gap and proposed a new approach: instead of relying
solely on influencers, why not tap into the very audience they were
trying to reach? By empowering real university students to lead
hyper-targeted, peer-driven promotions, we could create more
authentic and localized engagement.
• This idea became the Roc Nation Campus Ambassador Program --
a student-run street team that brought grassroots energy to campus,
promoting Roc Nation Distribution artists through curated content,
on-the-ground activations, and school-specific strategies.
It served as both a creative pipeline for the label and an authentic
channel for peer-driven marketing.
• As a college student myself, I understood how difficult it is to break into the entertainment industry. I created this program to give students hands-on experience in
music marketing, while sharing my passion for the culture and impact of Roc Nation and its artists.

Outreach
• I pitched this program to the Roc Nation marketing department and once approved, I began outreach to various college campuses including my own. I presented
to various on-campus organizations and compiled a street team of 20 students just at UC Irvine.
